Key Biscayne Community Church Day School
Our preschool opened in 1954 and is a mission of Key
Biscayne Community Church serving the Key Biscayne
community by offering educationally developmental classes
for 1-1/2 year-olds through pre-Kindergarteners daily from
8:30 am - 2:20 pm. The school year runs from the day after
Labor Day in September through May. While English is
spoken at school and classes are taught in English, a
Spanish-speaking teacher or aide is in each classroom.
We offer educational development in small & large motor
skills, computer use, music, art and drama. Chapel Services
are held in the Church Sanctuary each Monday morning for
all students. Each year the PreSchool's PTA offers a
"Halloween Fest" which is open to the community. During the
summer, we offer a "Summer Camp" for the children.
Our Philosophy:
KBCC Day School offers children a fun and exciting
environment to build a healthy, positive self-concept to
develop communication abilities and learning modes. We aim
to prepare children for a formal educational experience
through instruction that is individualized to meet each child's
needs enabling the child to accelerate at his or her own rate
of learning. We provide this enrichment within the framework
of a traditional setting with a small pupil-teacher ratio.
Our Facility:
KBCC Day School is designed to be a pleasant and secure
environment. The school is equipped with the finest
educational materials specifically geared toward each age
level. Our spacious classrooms can be viewed through
monitors available to parents at all times. In addition, each
room is equipped with computers and reading library centers
as well as dramatic play areas all of which give the young
imagination a lot to think about. Our fenced playgrounds are
equipped with pre-school climbing fixtures designed for
safety and action. Students are instructed in the
development of gross motor skills.
